Nach einer recht langen Odyssee und auch über den klassischen Buchhandel absolut nicht zu bekommen durfte ich endlich dieses historische Kochbuch in Händen halten … und ich kann es jedem, der sich auch nur ansatzweise für das echte Leben damals interessiert nur schwer empfehlen.
Die darin enthaltenen Rezepte muss ich mir zwar noch durchlesen, aber allein der erste Eindruck ist ein absoluter Wahnsinn!
Mehr darüber folgt, wenn ich es selber etwas durchforstet habe. Der Autor ist übrigens Reenactor – na wenn der nicht weiß, wovon er schreibt, wer dann? 😉

After a rather long odyssey and also absolutely impossible to get via the classic book trade, I was finally allowed to hold this historical cookbook in my hands … and I can hardly recommend it to anyone who is even remotely interested in the real-life of that time.
I still have to read through the recipes contained in it, but the first impression alone is absolute madness!
More about it will follow when I have gone through it myself. By the way, the author is a re-enactor – well, if he doesn’t know what he’s writing about, who does? 😉
