Worin besteht das »Werk« einer Muse?

Ist es »nur« die Inspiration, die sie gibt oder nicht vielmehr, dass sie Geschichten, Charaktere und Texte schreiben hilft? Sie dem eigenen Leben manchmal Lektionen verpasst und Fragen beantwortet, die der Schreiberling sich nicht einmal selber zu beantworten vermag?

Gestern erst führte ich mit meiner Muse eine Unterhaltung, die mir (unter anderem) Entscheidungen zu meinen Geschichten variieren und verändern half. So nachträglich, wie diese Person mein Leben bei jeder Gelegenheit ins Positive lenkt(e), genauso wichtig ist sie für die Entscheidungen beim Schreibprozess.

Denk an deine Muse, wenn du eine hast.
Inwieweit inspiriert sie dich auf positive Weise? Hilft sie dir »nur« dabei kreativer zu sein oder ist sie mehr eine Art Schachspieler, der dir Anregungen gibt?

Vereinzelt bekam ich mit, dass einige von euch sehnsüchtig nach ihrer eigenen Muse Ausschau halten – bislang vergeblich.

Ich weiß, was meine Muse für mich ausmacht. Was macht für dich eine gute Muse aus?
In diesem Sinne stelle ich heute die Frage in den Raum für all jene, die ihre Muse bislang nicht gefunden haben.

What is the „work“ of a muse?

Is it „only“ the inspiration it gives or instead that it helps to write stories, characters, and texts? Does she sometimes give lessons to her own life and answer questions that the scribe is not even able to explain himself?

Only yesterday, I had a conversation with my muse that helped me (among other things) to vary and change decisions about my stories. As retrospectively, as this person directs my life into the positive at every opportunity, it is just as crucial for the decisions in the writing process.

Think of your muse when you have one.
To what extent does she positively inspire you? Does it „only“ help you to be more creative, or is it more of a chess player who inspires you?

Occasionally I have noticed that some of you are longingly looking for your muse – so far in vain.

I know what my muse is for me. What makes an excellent muse for you?
