I think your blogs are very understandable to me. I think it isn’t about the perfect grammar, as more important is the upright enthusiasm and knowledge and willingness to learn still, about the subject of writing. When I write about an Viking Age period artefact, I sometimes get valuable comments from a metal conservatist which is helpful. I think those are the kind of people we must treasure to connect to and stand open for. I think your writing is very understandable. Someone writing a blog has a basic feel about language and construction. Otherwise he or she wouldn’t have started writing in the first place, I guess. It is something like oxygen for us and about showing other people not how good we write, but, and this is crucial, sharing thoughts and the beauty of… for example, in my case, Viking art. Sharing positive, worthwhile to notice, things. That is the heart for me. Not perfection in language or constructing. Words and sentences need personal freedom to be personalized. Having someone’s own trademark.

„Words and sentences need personal freedom to be personalized. Having someone’s own trademark.“
That’s exactly what it is. Many people struggle with themselves because they think it’s hard to learn the craft of writing and many lose the fun of it because they are pushed into a corner or have to take over the style of others. The „perfect“ writing comes from the heart. There are so many styles and everyone writes differently – where blogs like mine can help is to give tips or help with spelling – BUT never should we impose our own style on others. Only in this way can writers develop freely.
By the way, I think it’s great that your blog is about the Vikings – because indirectly you inspired me to the „Project Schildmaid“!
